Premier Aluminum Collaborative Robotics Integration

Collaborative robotics handling cosmetic finishings of aluminum castings at Premier Aluminum

Premier Aluminum is proud to announce significant advancements in our manufacturing processes through the integration of collaborative robotics. We have successfully implemented these cutting-edge systems in our casting finishing operations, dramatically improving both efficiency and quality.

Our collaborative robots are now handling the cosmetic finishing of castings, transforming surfaces from an initial roughness of approximately 450 Microinch Ra to a remarkably smooth 70 Microinch Ra finish. This 84% improvement in surface quality represents our commitment to precision and excellence in aluminum manufacturing.

This technological advancement not only enhances product quality but also demonstrates Premier Aluminum’s dedication to embracing innovative solutions that benefit our customers and strengthen our position as an industry leader.

We are delighted to introduce Peter Schutten, who joined Premier in March 2021. Peter has been our Maintenance Manager and was recently promoted to Maintenance and Tooling Manager. Peter has been in the field of maintenance and tooling for his entire career, bringing valuable expertise from his previous position at Aluminum Casting & Engineering Company in Milwaukee.
